privilege or priority?

training... what does that mean to you? it’s different for everyone... goals, lifestyle, genetics, priorities all play a part. maybe once you were training for a race, and now you are training to keep up with your toddler. maybe in college you ran track, and your legs want to feel that powerful again. maybe you want to feel the confidence that the weightroom can provide. can we get it back, can we start where we are at? time also plays a part for many people, their jobs, families, responsibilities make it impossible to “find time.” step back a moment and think how useful you will be, how helpful, and how you will contribute to the those things that “take your time” when you have first taken care of yourself? your health is not a privilege, it is a priority if all of the other important things in your life have meaning. it is not a selfish act to take the time to move your body. it is a selfish act to let that body go without movement, and expect it to stay healthy for you and those you love.
