Metabolic What?

Metabolic Flexibility.. WTF is that?? I was training hard on most days, lifting heavy weights, performing metcons multiple times a week, eating super well, making those sacrifices at parties and on the weekends that kinda suck, you know? I knew I needed more aerobic work, but I didn’t have the time to spend on it so instead I just busted ass ALL.THE.TIME. So why the fuck did I start to lose the lean profile I had finally achieved a year ago, why couldn’t I keep it? And how was it possible that the scale was going UP?! Deep down I knew I wasn’t an efficient athlete, but I didn’t have the time or energy to dig that deep, and dealing with fucking menopause at 43, as well being a mom, running a business, and falling into this Pandemic nightmare I had put aside my own athletic conundrum. But enough was enough. How could I help other people train, offer advice and nutrition guidance, if I couldn’t even get myself out of the slump I was in? Then I saw it, the interview with John Rusin and Dr. Mike Nelson and it hit home, my body had become INFLEXIBLE and I was burning through one main fuel only, which explained why I always thought I was “hypoglycemic” and felt like I could never catch my breath or get my HR up to the anaerobic level very easily, or maintain a hard pace when the hammer fell. I was always wiped out. Check out the interview that is changing the course of my life, literally. I am a faithful follower of Dr. Rusin and he has never led me astray, so what did I do after I watched the interview and poured over the article? I contacted Dr. Mike, and the rest is well, you know, writing itself as we speak.
