Strong as a mf
Mothers.
I know you.
I know your struggle.
The struggle to keep peace, to create happiness, to teach respect, to provide and comfort, to give give give.
Do you ever feel like you are dangling on the edge of yourself, not sure of the next path, feeling empty, confused, afraid you may not have the energy or the wisdom, afraid that you are not enough. Feeling the weight and responsibility larger than yourself, wondering how to both immerse yourself and escape at the same time.
And you love so hard. How can you have so much love? And so much doubt. How do you nurture yourself, when selflessness is always flowing just beneath the surface.
You did not get some fancy education or watch Ted talks on how to raise a human being (well, maybe you did). You just do it, with all the feels, the doubts, the anxieties that come with failing and fumbling, blindly leading, getting back up, learning to dust off someone else’s knees. And yet you still feel like you should know better, know more, do more, be more.
To this I say You Are Enough.
You lead by example, you take care of your body, your mind and nurture your sense of self.
You are Strong.
You are the wise teacher and in your heart you know what is right, for you. And you will show your children that they too can find this strength within them. This is the only way that you can truly share yourself. Being true to who you are will show your children to be true. And with truth comes happiness and freedom. What a gift to give on Mother’s Day.
I love working with mothers! We are strong, resilient, stubborn and amazing. We also make the best friends! Love to all my mother’s today!!!
